Being winemaker, it is a job with many facets: work in the vineyard, winemaking, packaging and marketing, sometimes a tough job and you really have to be passionate to always have the strength to believe.


    Between sea and mountains, at the foot of the Corbières, in the exceptional site of the valley Agly with the Cathar castles and gorges Galamus the clay schist soil storied 400 meters allow the grapes to have a slow, harmonious maturity. The hot, dry and windy Mediterranean climate gives them sugar, colors and flavors. Mas Peyre is a family estate of 40 hectares with an average annual production of 1,200 hectoliters. The vineyards are plowed, disbudded, efffeuillées and harvested green. Old plots Grenache black, sometimes trees, pipes cup, newer plantations trellised Syrah, worked in the respect of nature according to the codes of organic farming and tradition are used to develop a full range of wines . The harvest is manual for red, behaving in loosely packed. Grapes, very healthy, allow to have long maceration. The whites are immediately pressed and fermentation temperatures are controlled permanently. After tasting, the tanks are assembled to be raised either in tanks or in oak barrels.
