casks assembly mizunara and sherry or Bordeaux barrels. coconut notes and sweet spices (vanilla and cinnamon).
Born of the historic distillery Suntory, the first in Japan, Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve is the newest single malt to integrate the permanent range of whiskeys of the brand. Its fruity flavors, signature Yamazaki distillery, including strawberry, cherry and ice fishing are complemented by spicy notes with Japanese incense, ginger and a hint of cinnamon.
Three key elements are components of this single malt; a "young talent" and two "veterans". The "young talent" is a whiskey aged under 10 have been refined in French oak barrels of Bordeaux wine with exceptional aromatic qualities despite his youth. To bring the complexity and body while respecting the signing of Yamazaki, blenders chose whiskey aged in sherry casks and aged over 20 years. Finally, to bring this very mixed assembly, an aged whiskey barrels Japanese oak, very precious mizunara, was selected to enrich the Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve typical Japanese spice.
