With this Saint-Emilion Grand Cru ranked 1st B, we are in the aristocracy of the vine. It is produced by the Bécot family from 16 and a half hectares of chalky clay soil Stampian. 3 varieties are precisely assembled in this bottle: Merlot 70%, Cabernet Franc 24% and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The vines are forty years and are harvested by hand, for 38 hl controlled yields lower per hectare. After a triple sorting and de-stemming, the grapes are carefully vinified by parcel with macerated for a month. Livestock then lasts 16 to 18 months and takes place in new oak barrels, in a proportion of 80-100% depending on the year.
The result is an elegant wine that classic, with a bright fruit that will leave you in the throat velvet. His mouth is fresh and tender, with well managed tannins that make it an excellent wine for aging. He can easily flourish 15 years in your cellar, and more.
